Budget Hard Drive

I need help on picking a budget hard drive for my desktop. I'm currently thinking of this hard drive but some of the reviews are making me scared. http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/product/dCxfrH/seagate-internal-hard-drive-st1000dm003

I'm looking for a storage capacity of 500gb-1tb. Nothing more, nothing less. Any suggestions?

Seagate isn't bad but you can get a 1TB Western Digital Blue for around the same price (both are $50 on newegg USA right now). Personally, I'd go with the WD.

Yes. The price on newegg is $20 off (from $69.99 to $49.99), I guess it is on sale - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822236339&cm_re=1tb_hdd-_-22-236-339-_-Product

If you can get it for that price, I'd definitely recommend it over the Seagate.
