Budget motherboards for OC i5 4690k

I have these motherboards in mind,tell me your opinion.

1. Asus Z97-K
2. Asrock Z97 PRO4
3. MSI Z97 PC MATE
4. GIGABYTE Z97P-D3
5. GIGABYTE Z97M-DS3H

These motherboards are almost on same price. What do you think its the best?

Except the 5th board, all others are similar in terms of specs and quality, I'd get the cheapest one from the top 4.

They are all similar. If I really had to pick, I would opt for Asrock Z97 PRO4, just love their BIOS 😉

Im thinking to get the Asrock PRO4 so can i overclock my cpu up to 4.4 ghz with it

And do i need to update the BIOS to overclock it? (Im new to these things)

1. OCing depends to a large extent on the chip you get (chip lottery!), but given you get a good chip, 4.4Ghz should be manageable.

2. The CPU is supported on the stock BIOS, you need not update it (avoid updating BIOS as long as possible).

I just completed my build with the MSI PC MATE Z97 and couldnt be happier. Started up no problem, no bios update needed. Instructions were easy to read (I havent built a computer in 10 years)

i5 4690k with oem fan
MSI PC Mate Z97
8 gb ram
GTX 960
650W PSU

Its a beast i havent even tried to OC yet.
