Question Budget SSDs

I am building a PC and looking for a budget friendly SSD. I have narrowed it down to TeamGroup MP33 and Silicon Power A60

Which would you suggest?

Both use the SM2263XT controller with no DRAM. After that, I typically look at how many layer memory each SSD has (more layers generally being better). Also SLC>MLC>TLC>QLC. Most budget SSDs these days have TLC or TLC memory.
SPA60 = 64L Intel TLC
MP33= 96L Micron TLC

Therefore, the MP33 is probably* better.

Have a look at the MP44L though. In the US, it's only a couple $ more than the MP33 at 500GB and 1TB capacity. That's really the issue with budget range, price creep. But the MP44L is a notable step up from the MP33. Pretty easy to justify that $2 premium.

I have no idea what a controller or DRAM is. I am just trying to make a PC that doesn't cripple my financially. The motherboard I am using is an MSI MAG b650 Tomahawk with WiFi if that makes any difference.

Team Group MP44L. Should only cost $2 more than the MP33.

I am really wanting a 2TB and the MP44L is only 500GB. The regular MP44 is $120 on Amazon which is the same price as a Western Digital WD_Black SN770.

WD has always been good to me so I might just save the extra $20 and get that one. Would that be a good replacement?

You will pay twice for those cheap SSDs. Best get something smaller, but better quality. Even second had SSDs can be good value sometimes.
