Hi, so since we are in quarantine i have been spending more time on my pc than usual, and i have been struggling with my pc. of course this is an old pc that i own and i do not plan on spending a ton on a new one. So i was taught maybe i should just upgrade the CPU and the motherboard, but i am kind of a newbie when it comes to knowledge about parts. those are the parts that i think could be decent for a low price.

AMD Ryzen 5 2600 6-Core/12-Thread Processor Socket AM4 3.40GHz Base/ 3.90 GHz Boost, Wraith Stealth cooler 65W (YD2600BBAFBOX)

ASUS PRIME B450M-A/CSM Socket AM4 Dual Channel DDR4 PCIe 3.0, M.2 USB 3.1, HDMI, DVI, VGA, RGB mATX Motherboard

So i have no clue if this is truly any good, so im looking for some advice.
this my current pc specs ( I know my toaster is old but its all i got )

BaseBoard Manufacturer MSI
BaseBoard Product 760GM-P21(FX) (MS-7641)
BaseBoard Version 3.0
Processor AMD FX(tm)-4100 Quad-Core Processor, 3600 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
Installed Physical Memory (RAM) 8.00 GB

Thank you for any help you can offer

Solution
Toss in at least 8GB of DDR4-3000 (I'd strongly recommend 16GB as 8GB may get a little tight if you do any amount of multi-tasking or gaming) and that should be good to go.

If you have OEM Windows, you may need a new license too.
