Well, that was sort of my point. What you would discover if you dove
into macro building or just grabbing some spell helper add-ons is that
you indeed cannot cast more than one skill/spell in any given button
push. Blizzard is trying to provide a rich API for macros and add-ons
without allowing the farmers to get much power. They seem to be keeping
a pretty close eye on the latter, by, for instance, breaking a recent
mod that scripted movement so you could automate land travel.

Aw, nothing to be afraid of. Just grab Auctioneer for starters and see
how badly it corrupts you. I think your real fear is that you'll love
em.

Huh! Now I'll have to disable RangeRecolor and see what I'm missing
from whatever recent patch changed that. Hopefully I can cut my add-ons
load down a notch.

Yep. Again I suggest Auctioneer as your first add-on if you're hesitant
of them. I don't think anyone can truly remember all the vendor sale
values of the thousands (?) of items in the game, let alone the AH
values of things like Living Essence, which often make the vendor values
irrelevant. I really shouldn't be plugging this add-on since it's a
HUGE competitive advantage, but meh... I doubt too many players on my
realm are reading this newsgroup.

A large zoom-out along with minimap-notes (e.g. VanCleef here, exit
there, etc) would truly be great, and make Atlas superfluous. But I
doubt Blizz will do it, fearing that the increased radar would make it
too easy.

You are making your own argument now for going out and getting the
Flexbar add-on or similar.
By shift-rolling the mousewheel and using the "hidden" toolbar behind
the main one for all my tradeskill/food/drink stuff (things *not* needed
in combat, ever) I've managed to make peace with full toolbar display of
the standard UI... no need for Flexbar just yet.

Yep, an annoying bug that can't be blamed on add-ons.

There have only been a few select add-ons that have been banned by
Blizzard and deliberately broken by subsequent patches. The auto-travel
mod was one such target. There were also some mods that allowed
translating chat language to allow cross-faction communication,
something that Blizz is adamantly against. I can't think of any other
examples. Check out www.curse-gaming.com for more info and a great

Definitely not trainers (there are no infinite health or mana add-ons, I
assure you) but enhancements for all sorts of shortcomings of the
standard UI. In many places Blizz has just completely dropped the ball
and this is where it is picked up. If Blizzard didn't want us doing
this, there would be no LUA, no "Interface\Add-ons" folder, no "Add-ons"
configuration button in the character selection window, etc.
