So I know it’s a stupid question but can bugs kill computer parts like the motherboard I built a $1300 computer and stink bugs always manage to get in (dust filters are on) I always come home to see a stink bug in my computer sitting on the glass inside the computer. I am using the Corsair crystal 280x and it has a crack at the top of the case were the glass and case meet so I’m wondering is there anyway to prevent the stink bugs from getting in.

Solution
it sounds like you might need to set a bug barrier around your house (and maybe around your case) with RAID BUG BARRIER, "Raid Max Bug Barrier keeps ants, fleas, flies, gnats, roaches, ticks, silverfish, crickets, spiders, scorpions, mosquitoes, centipedes, firebrats, small flying moths, stink bugs, sowbugs, ground beetles, and boxelder bugs out. Raid Max Bug Barrier keeps killing German cockroaches for up to 12 months on non-porous surfaces. Spray indoors and outdoors in hard-to-reach places where long term control is needed. Save the reusable auto trigger for use on Raid Max Bug Barrier refills of equal size"
Sometimes they can damage the cables inside and the fans, if they get stuck in there. If the PC is a magnet for roaches then place some bug repellent substance (not spray) inside the case. The type that smells nice for you, but it sends the bugs away.

Solution
Do as the previous poster said, get bug repellent like Raid Bug barrier, this should help for both indoors and outdoors. For a change, you may buy something like Ant Repellent and spread it around your workplace. As for the stink bugs could also recommend checking this article on pestcontrolhacks. Would be nice if you could just carry your computer to other place and treat your room with repellents at first.

I used to repair ultrasonic security systems and it was amazing how much the ultrasonic components attracted cockroaches. In addition to what everyone else has said, insect pooh is acidic and can corrode whatever they touch. Copper traces are normally protected with a lacquer, but places where components mount (e.g., connectors) are not all protected.

You might also be surprised at what kind of lung disease or damage they can cause if "the pooh hits the fan". Both fungal and bacterial contaminants.
