Hi,
I have an old unused but working PC with
(i5 750 + Msi 6850 + intel DH55PJ motherboard + 2 gb ddr3 1333 ram + corsair GS600)
i am thinking of building a PC with i5 750 + some decent GPU (Gtx 1060 in mind now)

I know that the mb is dumb can have DDR3 8gb max at 1333 and HD 6850 is useless for PUBG.

I am low on funds can buy a GPU (1060 6gb or 3gb) and 8gb ram. (if req MB and a budget cpu cooler)
Is it recommendable ? i just want to play PUBG and CS:GO in a decent medium settings.
Should i think about making this build ?

pubg, can run on a low end card, if you dont expect the graphics to be good... (I played on G3220 with 8GB ram on a 1060) and got 40-60Fps on all low settings. I have done it, it isn't great gaming, but feasible. considering an I5-750 vs G3220 on PassMark score show its aa better cpu than what I run it on.

if you have an ssd and the game was installed on it , it should also help. good luck on your search. best best will be DDR3-1333 Ram on that board. it can handle it. and is pretty common still, use 2 sticks not one, it will make use of the dual abilities making the ram a little faster than if it was only on 1 stick of 8gb.

Great ! That is what i wanted.
I was not sure about if my board will be able to handle the modern 1060gtx.
I was also not sure about the game with 1333 ram, my board has 2 slots max 4gb in one slot, so maxx 8gb.
I do have a SSD, not very pro SSD but a Kingston 128GB which i used for my laptop.

1 small help though, can you share your Pubg graphics settings for stable and lag free run.
and i'm thinking of getting a simple liquid cooler (Corsair h45) and overclock cpu to 3-3.2 (is that possible with this board)

Graphcs setting son PUBG are simple all settings to low no exception :)
and yes your motherboard and compatibility with 1060 , it should be capable of running it, your board run PCIe x16 Gen 2.x and this is no concern. the only question I have regarding this choice of video card. would be the BIOS, do you know if it is BIOS or UEFI BIOS. ?
