So here's the story, i build a new PC end of november and got 128 GB RAM (not because i needed but because i could).
A week ago i checked my new ssd health Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB and it was already on 3 TB written even though i use a competely saperate drive for my data and online downloads. I figured it's because of the pesky windows page file and i disabled it last week thinking i don't need it anyway.
Fast forward today, after exiting my gaming session "Hogwart's Legacy" viola, my first BSOD ever since i build this PC. Error code "page fault in nonpaged area". Could this be because i have disabled page file?
I did run some benchmarks but never ran any extended stability tests, should i do memtest now or wait to see if i get more frequent bsods? Ram modules i have are XPG 4x32GB 6000 MHz CL30.

This:

"i checked my new ssd health Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB and it was already on 3 TB written"

The question is how full is that drive? And not how many "writes" to the drive have occured.

More explanation needed.

Enable the pagefile on C: drive and allow Windows to manage it.

Leave the pagefile alone thereafter.

Also run Disk Management. Open the window so all can be seen.

There may be other issues.....

SSD is 1.62 TB free, as i said there's only OS and few essential programs like office/steam/vlc etc.
I tried looking into detail and according to event viewer, Source was Kernel-Power with keyword (70368744177664),(2). As usual googling doesn't provide any definite answer as reasons could me many.
For now i will enable windows page file again and see if the same error code repeats again anytime soon.

You can't disable it. It's an essential part of virtual memory subsystem.
If you do disable it, then you get errors/bsods/crashes.

If you wish to preserve writes on your OS drive, you can relocate pagefile to a different drive. Preferably to a mechanical hard drive
(Disable on OS drive and enable on a different drive).
Just don't leave pagefile size management on auto or it will grow to ridiculous sizes. Set it to 1GB initial, 16GB max.

Well - obviously.
But it can be also because of number of different other reasons.

Page file.....I would not go so far as to say you can't disable it as it may depend on what you do with the pc.

I don't use a page file the pc runs fine......ymmv.
