Hello,

I'm planning to make a gaming build. My budget is around 2300$.

These are my parts:

-Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor

-Swiftech H220 55.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler

-Asus MAXIMUS VI FORMULA ATX LGA1150 Motherboard

-Corsair Vengeance 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory

-Samsung 840 Pro Series 256GB 2.5" Solid State Disk

-Western Digital WD SE 3TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive

-EVGA GeForce GTX 760 4GB Video Card (2-Way SLI)

-Fractal Design Define R4 w/Window (Black Pearl) ATX Mid Tower Case

-SeaSonic 750W 80 PLUS Gold Certified ATX12V / EPS12V Power Supply

-Asus BC-12B1ST/BLK/B/AS Blu-Ray Reader, DVD/CD Writer

So my question is: Will the swiftech h220 fit in front of the fractal design r4?

Solution
If I were you I'd assume it doesn't fit. It only seems to have a few centimeters before it starts hitting the HDD tray, I'm almost sure a cooler wouldn't fit there.

Not to mention that it seems to be designed so that you place individual fans in there (with all the mountings).
It doesn't seem to have much room so I don't think it'll fit in the front.

Also, consider getting a GTX770 (or a 780 if you can afford it) instead of two GTX760, and upgrading the PSU to 850W (or maybe 1000W if getting the 780).

Two GTX760 will give you better performance, yes, but you're limiting yourself when it comes to upgrades. If you get a more powerful single card you can later upgrade to SLI and get much better performance.

There are tests out there that show the GTX760 outperforming the 770 and 780 when all are in SLI, but those are driver issues for sure, and will get fixed eventually.

Yeah I already knew that

hmm oke thnx you guys really helped me out

Oh and for future reference, when they are able to fit coolers in the front they'll usually say it somewhere, because lots of people look specifically for that (they're usually needed for great watercooling builds), so they wouldn't just forget to mention it.
