Just finished putting together computer. Have drives on, windows up to date, and nvidia up to date. What should I check overall to make sure I got a good build going on.
1. Test your RAM using memtest (built into Windows)
2. Test your CPU (http://www.passmark.com/products/index.htm)
3. Test your GPU (Furmark, Unigine)
4. Check your PSU voltages in your BIOS
5. Monitor your temperatures while doing all of the above.
download hardware monitor or a fan speed and prime95 to stress the unit. make sure the temp stay in safe range if they start getting into the high 70 kill the test. for ram run memtest86 from a boot disk over night. with most pc if there a hardware issue it pop up when you run newer games out there. (bsod/black screen..shut downs.
