Just wanting to get some feedback on a system upgrade (sidegrade?)

Long story short, a good friend who's very into computers helped me make some changes when I got a Noctua NH-D15 over the Christmas break. These involved a case swap to a much better airflowing case, new PWM fans, etc etc. He also delidded my CPU when he was assembling everything for me.

This has led to my current predicament. My 6700K is running warmer at idle than it was previously, to the tune of high 30's to low 40's, and jumping to low 60's in games where it used to max out right around 50. I'm not sure if there just wasn't enough liquid metal to make good contact with the heatsink, or if it's just a faulty temperature reading from something getting tweaked when it was delidded. It seems odd that changing from a 240mm AIO would cause such a reduction in performance. Regardless, he's agreed to take the CPU (and mobo) to try and fix it.

In the meantime, I'm going to move to an AM4 platform, and wanted to get some feedback on this list. A lot of the parts will carry over from the current system. I'll be upgrading the CPU as well to Zen2 when it comes out, so I wanted to get a very good base to work from for that. I'll also be adding an RTX 2070 at this time.

Solution
I wouldn't recommend running four DIMMs. If you want 32GB get 2x16GB.

You aren't running anything that high in wattage, you don't need a million fans. You probably don't need a fan hub since you don't need all the fans.

I've already got the RAM and fans. I know 2x16GB sticks would be better, but when I purchased it I got a 2x8GB kit for $175 shipped/kit during the RAM pricing insanity awhile back.

Yes. Low 60s while gaming is perfectly fine.
