Cheaper board, memory, power supply all are at least equal to what you had most are actually superior, saved enough to make it a 500 Gb 950 so it's actually usable for several games. Why the 5tb hd? Id consider switching it for a 1-2 tb ssd and go back to a 250gb 950 boot drive

Solution
I'm looking at the 5TB just for the space, plan on adding a big SSD later. 5TB would just be for media/pics/misc. I'm also wanting to keep the corsair memory just for aesthetics. Kind of same with Corsair power supply, but I could go a little cheaper with that. I also plan on upgrading and getting another 1080 to SLI. Wasn't sure how to reply to your comment. New to this website and using mobile at work. I'll be doing some media work as well, not sure how well this system will work for it. Thanks for the reply, I'll consider any and all info

That particular ripjawz kit matches the 950evo and board perfectly. Thought they made a good combo. But go with the massivly more expensive slower ram if you choose. That power supply is pretty overkill even if you do sli later the 850 one I suggested is still pretty much overkill as well... Nothing wrong with your build i could just get same performance for around $2200 but it's your money

Ok cool, I don't know enough about computers hardware to justify my answers. I appreciate your input, and will definitely take it into consideration in my build. Thanks again

Can I ask why they memory is faster? I was told that you wanted to fill all Dims on the motherboard if possible. Just curious for any input. Is the dominator platform that slow? I was also wondering if the 3200 series would fit well with either of the motherboards mentioned. Thanks

Its just has a lower latency wont make a major difference, but spending more for less quality doesnt make much sense. As for filling all the slots that just puts more strain on the memory controller snd doubles your chances of one stick going/being bad. 3200 memory would be fine but it's usually a decent amount more than 3000 MHz ram for a not perceivable performance gain.
