Hi guys,
I recently put together a new build using some old parts I had and seem to be having an issue even getting it to post. I've tried breaking it down to even minimum parts (PSU/heat sink/ Mobo) and still would have issues with it not posting.
- Intel 3570K
- Asus P8Z77-M Pro
- Cooler Master Gemini M4 heatsink
- Corsair CX 750
- Thermaltake Micro ATX Cube
- Crucial Ballistix Tactical Low Profile 8GB Single DDR3-1600 Ram X2
- Nvidia 670's X2 in SLI
After assembling and disassembling multiple times and testing multiple components (PSU passes paperclip test, power cords are slotted correctly into the mobo). I was finally able to get a single successful post and said there was CPU fan error. I've checked and it is installed in the correct spot on the board and the fan does spin upon boot. Both the CPU fan and the fan plugged into the Channel 1 slot spin for a few seconds before powering down and then trying to power up again for a few seconds and then power down continually until cutting the power. The motherboard was a refurbished unit and was suppossedley tested to have been working without issue.
Thanks!
