People don't pay your kind of teachers enough IMO. You'll take half of the week to do this if it's an 80 hour week.

I weight 140lbs. If I drank 13.5 shots in one hour my BAC would be .375, which is beyond blackout and easily deadly. After the first hour I would be unconscious and probably die if my stomach wasn't pumped. People die form Alcohol poisoning at much less than .375. Anything over .3 is considered deadly. .4 is pretty much dead for sure.

I'm at school from about 6:30 to 5:00 so I can get some work done there, then about 3 hours each night and half an hour in the morning (I get up at 4:30). Tuesday is Veteran's day, so no classes and plenty of time for grading.

On an empty stomach yes, but walking over four hours on the right food slows the processing and you do metabolize as you go. I'm only 160 pounds and was then. They're 1 oz shots., so 53oz of 40% booze, 21 oz of alcohol in total. Are you sure of your calculation? I did it, I'm alive, mostly, and I did not throw up, I remember most of it, and I was seriously blasted at the end and took a couple of hours to get sensible.

I had to give up drinking completely a couple of years later because of chemical poisoning which damaged my liver. I can have a glass of wine or spirits every once in a while now.

My best friend was Polish, and four of us would finish of a bottle of Polish 'Rocket Fuel' Vodka (over proof) neat, ice cold, and downed a shot glass at a time over a meal! I entertained at my place and found people asleep on the floor in the middle of the night.

He introduced me to Zubrowka, which I came to like for the flavor.

The .iso is not available according to that site.

School firewall blocks wudt site 🙁

DonkeyOatie. When you say the PC boots into a Dos state, can you actually type and execute commands? Or are you just left with the PC hanging with a flashing underscore?

Please check this out. You should be able to qualify for OS's from MS. Each student ought to qualify, too.

That's assuming your school is considered a high school.

It's worth checking into & seeing if your school can qualify. My son is studying computer science/computer software engineering in Australia right now & he's been dabbling in many OS's & software free from Dreamspark.

Cheers

PS- he had access to it in high school

Sorry for taking so long to respond. End of term and report cards requires more hours in a day than they make, so life had to go for a while.

We are a middle school, Forms 1 to 3 in old money.

On another topic, I have to re-think the MineCraftMachine course.

One of the admin. up the line has given me a flyer from another institution, about 20 miles away. They already have a course. It offers:

Modern Quad core processor with overclocking.
8 Gigabytes of memory
1000 Gigabytes of storage
Powerful 450 watt power supply.
Case and motherboard
Operating system
Modern dedicated graphics processor.
Play - the latest games
- on three monitors at once (picture of three monitors with Battlefield ?? spread across three)
- 1080p
- 60+ FPS

Must provide own monitor and keyboard.

What would be the cheapest system that meets this? (I believe that everything they say is substantially true.) They supply no details as to the system and I'd feel bad about asking, since I plan to compete.

well a 450watts PSU wont power any card that runs the newest games at 60+ fps on medium to ultra settings on 3 screens.

and seeing as it says it's 1080p it's just one screen unless you have 3 low resolution screens perhaps which has never been done?... it sounds like very missleading information to me.

as for gaming on highest settings on 3 1080p screens I'd say you'd need at least an 2x SLI gtx 970 setup

Here is a 300$ i3-4150 machine with the ability to max out Minecraft on something like High at least (without anti-aliasing, of course):

Here is a ~500$ machine should students want to get <60 FPS in games like BF4:

it will run it.... but not at 60+ fps. not even on low settings.
bf4 on 3 screens...you'll need a SLI setup for that. you'll have to spend at least a good 1100ish dollars for that(rough estimate)

it said 1080p right? that's not a tripple monitor setup then.
but an i5 4690 and a gtx 980 would be able to run it on 3 screens yes. I'm guessing medium to high settings
but you'd be better off with 2 gtx 970's or 2 r9 290x's
r9 290(x) do better on higher resolutions.
so thats about 700 dollar in GPU's you have there already + 200 for the CPU and then you still need a motherboard that supports SLI which is another 130 dollars at least and a good PSU to power that for a 100 dollar
so tht's my 1100 dollar right there 😛

maybe you should go and ask.

the 3 monitors shown in the picture you are talking about may just have been a random picture. if you could show me the picture I can tell you which battlefield it is even.

I know it said 1080p and it showed triple monitor, so perhaps the triple monitor is not 60FPS, or does not play the latest games, so the system is capable of triple monitor, but at reduced performance.

One thing I can find out if the cost of the course. Mine will be $500, including all the basic hardware, so that's $400 for the bits and ten weeks for $100. This one must be a lot more expensive.

a gtx 970 + i5 will most defenitly run bf4 at the ultra preset(which has full AA)
as for the i3 and the r9 290x. it will run high to ultra at a good 60 fps for as long as you dont enable AA
