Build my first pc

Guys I am building my first pc.
My components are
Intel core i7 4790
Asus h97m
Corsair 8 gb ddr3 ram
Gigabyte gtx 970
Western digital 1tb hdd
Transcend 256 gb ssd
Corsair 350d
Seasonic S12II 620W psu
Cm tx3 evo
I am mainly going to do gaming and moderate work on cad and solidworks. Please suggest me any component if the build doesn't suits my need. I am not going to do overclocking. And thanks in advance.

Looks like a strong build to me. Powerful processor and graphics card and an SSD.
I couldn't suggest anything better, as long as your happy with the case and other bits.
Maybe get 16gb of memory?

with moderate works on cad and solidworks, how much parts are we talking about?
the i7 CPU and the 8 extra GB of RAM that darklightFX suggests will only kick in in larger projects.

I am a student of mechanical engineering and I will be doing my college projects on this pc. Some people suggested me to buy radeon because it supports solidworks better than nvidia.
