Question Build Setup and Memory Speeds

This is my build
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Pro
MOBO: MSI x470 Gaming Plus
CPU: Ryzen 5 2600x
Ram: Corsair LPX 32GB (2x16GB) 3200MHz C16 DDR4 DRAM Memory Kit
PSU: 850 RMCorsairX Gold
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i
GPU: XFX Radeon RX580 XXX 8 GB DDR5

I would like to see my memory at set speeds but everything i get on benchmarks states it is running 2133. I am also getting horrible results from my GPU on any benchmarks. Any recommendations to improve my RAM and GPU issues?

What MB do you have ?
Have you set the DOCP (or xmp) profile for that RAM in your BIOS ?
3200 MHz is the xmp (DOCP) speed and unless you set that in BIOS the RAM defaults to 2133 MHz.

I have a MSI x470 Gaming Plus, I do have XMP but even when the 3200 profile is selected it does not test that way. Per the board it will only go to 2944 but even that profile will not test out about 21333...

Are you 100 % sure they are in the proper ram slots, A2 and B2, per your MB manual.
If they are not in the correct slots they won't run at xmp speeds.

yes Ram is in A2/B2 per MOBO directions and clearly marked on board. I would also not expect XMP to pick up potential profiles or turn on if not available.

Is your exact RAM model listed on the QVL for your MB or listed by corsair as being tested on you MB at 3200 MHz?
If not you may be stuck with 2133.
But manually configuring the Memory frequency and timings might allow you to get them to run faster.

Yes RAM is listed by exact part number on QVL on MSI website for that processor at 3200. But I will try to manually adjust by timing and voltage.

Since they are on the QVL, updating the BIOS to a version that has AGESA 1.0.0.6 in it could allow you to use the xmp profile to get them up to 3200 MHz.
