Hi . I have a PC that I built and have been enjoying for specific games past few years however I was limited to my choice of games. I would ld like to do an upgrade on a budget .

My current build :
ASRock B85M Pro4 LGA 1150 Intel B85 HDMI SATA 6GB/s USB 3.0 Micro ATX Intel Motherboard.
Ram: 2 x Mushkin Enhanced 4GB PC3-12800 9-9-9-24
Video card : EVGA Nvidia GTX 650 2GB GDDR5
Processor : Intel core i5-4670 Haswell 3.4 GHz LGA Quad-Core

Two options I found online are :

Upgrade 1
Asus GTX 1050 ti 4GB OC Edition GDDR5
AMD Ryzen 5 2600 Processor
Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000 MHz

Total price : 460$

Upgrade 2

Zotac GeForce GTX1070 Mini 8 GB GDDR5

Total price : 345$

Please advise me which option to consider or any recommendations. I’m not sure which will benefit me more.

$350 will get you an RTX 2060, which is faster than a 1070. You can get 1070 for around $300.

Thanks for highlighting this !!

I understand you suggest that I only change the graphic card ( option 2) . This will give me a better performance upgrade than option 1 (CPU+ budget graphic card ) on my current rig ?

For gaming, yes, the GPU is going to give you more of a performance increase. The new 1660ti might be of interest, as well, if you are looking to save money. It appears to trade blows with the 1070. I forgot to ask, what is the make/model of your power supply?

Yeah I just saw it. Seems like it was released for my rig :)

My Power supply is Antec VP-500PC. Is this gonna be an issue for me ?
