Question Building a custom NAS

so i'm looking to build a custom NAS my price range is £100-£150 and don't mind searching ebay for the parts, the storage id like to be upgradable in the future so potentially 3 drive bays would be preferred.

Very small budget, you are looking at re-tasking a very old PC and buying some drives for that money. Then you will have to put up with the power consumption and noise!!

Synology are fantastic. Cheaper available if you want 2 disks
