Hello everyone, I'm wondering what you guys think of all the parts I'm getting a good or not for a gaming computer.

MSI NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 Ti
ASRock LGA 1155 Intel Z77
Seagate Barracuda 7200 1 TB
Intel Core i5-3570K Quad-Core Processor 3.4 GHz 4 Core
Cooler Master Extreme Power Plus - 600W Power Supply
NZXT M59
Asus 24xDVD-RW
Windows 8 System Builder
NZXT Sleeved LED Case Light Kit -just for fun
Corsair Vengeance 8 GB
NZXT Technologies RF-FZ120-G1 NZXT FZ-120mm LED Cooling Case x3

The total cost for all these parts is 1,142.30 plus tax. If you guys have any ideas to make this cheaper, I will greatly appreciate it and also, try to implement a liquid cooling setup if possible because it would be nice to have one. By the way, this is my senior project and I want to make it spectacular. Thank you for your help.

Solution

What do you guys think? Is everything compatible? Also, for the OS, I'm going to try to get a student discount on windows 7. If you guys know any thing about this please tell me where to look.

What's the minimum watts can my computer handle 450w? If so, I just need a 500w power supply and it will do the job? And can this power supply work Rosewill Xtreme Series 750W 80 PLUS Certified ATX12V/EPS12V Power Supply RX750-S-B?

1.Now that the OP said that he edits video, he will need 8GB so i agree but for just gaming, 4GB is enough at 1080p.
2.The CX500 V2 is also a great PSU. Corsair fixed all the flaws in the 1st version and its the same price...
3.Yes OS used about 800MB and a Game like Assassins Creed 3 used 2.5GB so total is 3.3GB. But for editing video he needs at least 8GB. OP didnt mention that before. He told its a gaming Rig...
4. Did i say that Seasonic did not make that PSU? I said that its not seasonic quality. Seasonic are one of the best... an 80+ PSU cant be better than a 80+Bronze PSU for a respectable brand at a higher price...
5. Its barracuda and the WD Blue are both equal... But you can get the Seagate for cheaper in local stores...
6. The 3570K you mentioned is from Microcenter. OP specified that he cant go there for in-store pickup... You need to take the Amazon link. Its 224$ on amazon so add $30 to your build...

As iceclock said, never skip on Power supply! I completely agree with him...
Buy that Antec one or the one I will suggest...

IMO, i think that that case it better. And have you decided if you want to Overclock??? I you dont want to immediately then no need to buy CPU cooler...

-----------------------------------------------

And how many times? Why do you want a PSU with LED lights??? Anyway the fan will be facing down so unless your eyes will be on the floor its useless... You can add some cold cathodes later...
