So as the title says I'm building a new gaming PC (my first build), i have done quite a bit of research and have chosen each part. However, i often see in forums people showing off there new build and receiving feedback on what they would have done differently. I thought i would upload my plan before i order the parts on Thursday (to come for Sunday).
All feedback is really appreciated, especially on the case and GPU as I'm not certain on GTX 770 2GB vs R9 280x 3GB.
This is my build on PC part picker UK, as I'm From England. my budget was £900-1000 but if there will be a significant improvement I'm performance/graphics i don't mind going slightly over.
Approximate Purchase Date: I want to have the parts by Saturday (with amazon next day delivery i can order on Friday morning/Thursday evening.)
Budget Range: £900-£1050
System Usage from Most to Least Important: I want to be able to play Battlefield 4, Skyrim, Thief (yea i know its not out yet but i plan on getting it) on ultra settings with 1 monitor. However i plan to operate 2 monitors, one running games and the other watching blue ray quality films.
My question is will R9 280x 3gb have enough memory to watch a Blue ray film at the same time as playing Ultra Graphics games (in all honesty i don't mind playing in medium or high quality whilst watching films, but would prefer to play in the best possible graphics, at an affordable price).
Oh and then the every day stuff, such as office, but im sure a gaming pc could handle this 😛.
I also plan to overclock this PC
Are you buying a monitor: not at the moment, I'l be using my TV for now (at the end of my bed 32" bush HD ready) then in September i plan to add a blue ray drive and buy two new monitors, but don't worry to much about that.
Do you need to buy OS: Yes (I will probably go with Windows 7 the one that supports 16gb of ram, cant remember the name)
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Amazon.co.uk
Location: London England
Overclocking: Yes. Please may i have some advice on GPU overclocking and if its worth it pros and cons etc, also does my GPU support this and is the GTX 770 better at overclocking?
SLI or Crossfire: Yes i plan to in the near future.
Your Monitor Resolution: No idea what my TV resolution is, however its 32" HD ready, so i assume 1080p (around 4 years old)
Although i plan to purchase a 1440 or 1600p monitor, when i install a blue-ray drive, around September time.
