Building a gaming pc

This is my first build and i was wondering if i could get some help. I decided on the haf 932 case, i7 950 and im not sure about getting a gtx 460. I really need help finding a motherboard, and the rest. My my budget is 1.5k including the monitor speaker mouse and keyboard. Pleease respond fast

this is a pretty much solid build and can run crysis at high to max settings

can a normal i7 2600 be overclocked or do i need a 2600k

The 2600 can only overclock a small amount since it has a locked multiplier and the base clock on these chips aren't very flexible. The 2600k has an unlocked multiplier so you don't have to worry about the stability of your other components, just the cpu. So basically if you want to overclock you need the k version on these new chips.

overclocking your processor to 3.8ghz will prevent any bottleneck due to the processor past that it's not worth it too much but with SB go for 4.2

dont worry the HAF 922 is a large case and will certainly fit even if u do SLI

But if u r interested in buying a Full Tower Case then HAF 932 is ur right choice

I recommend you go for the HAF 922 and buy this GPU
