Building a new computer questions?

Hello all!

I was recently debating building a new computer, and taking parts from my old computer. I wanted to upgrade my motherboard to a motherboard that isn't a mico ATX. I was curious what would be required, I know a new copy of software such as Windows 8 (ect) will be required, but will I really need anything else? can I reuse my old hard drive, processor, and disk drive? or do I have to buy all new pieces? Sorry for my lack of knowledge, just needing some advice . Thank you all very much

One thing you can add to your new PC before installing a new OS, get SSD to improve performance, but will cost more than a traditional mechanical HDD. around 256 or 500GB will do, it's up to you. You could have got a free Windows 10 copy last year, installed a non-activated windows 7 any edition, then let it update till you see a free windows 10 upgrade by Microsoft. I got mine for free, and it will stay on your E-mail account which is Microsoft only.

depends on ur current specs and budget...

if u just wan to get a bigger motherboard just make sure it has the socket your processer has and your case is for example a mid atx for a mid atx mobo and you can use your old components

I only have to buy the motherboard?! I don't even have to buy a new copy of windows or anything?!
