Building a new computer, wondering if it can run games well.

I'm building a new computer from scratch, and it's my first time doing it. I finally fell in to everyone saying "Build a computer, it's the best choice!" So I decided to, and I seem to have found all the parts I want. I'm very cautious, though. I want to know if all these parts are compatible, and if they can run modern games like CS:GO or Saubnatica on decent settings. I plan on upgrading most of the parts in the future, this is just a base computer. Thanks!

Specs:
Graphics: MSI Geforce GTX 960 2GD5T OC
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-6500 Processor (6M Cache, up to 3.60 GHz)
Motherboard: Asus MAXIMUS VIII RANGER
Memory/RAM: 2x8GB DDR4

And if it matters, here's the PSU:
EVGA 750 GQ 80+ GOLD, 750W

The EVGA 750W GQ is a very poor quality power supply - I'd advise against getting it. It has really bad ripple suppression, and other flaws that aren't present in the other GQ models. For your build, get an EVGA GS 550W. And Maximus VIII is wasting money. But a Gigabyte GA-H110M-A

How is the MAXIMUS RANGER a waste of money? I plan on upgrading TONS of stuff in the future, I just don't want to mess with my motherboard after installing it. My plan was to get something overkill like that. If it's not worth the money, though, I'll check out that Gigabyte one. I'll also have to get an overkill power supply, too, since I'm upgrading stuff. Should the 550W last me a few upgrades, like graphics cards and HDDs?

Edit: Just found the Gigabyte, a whole 150 dollars less. That would save my budget. Thanks!

Alright, thanks. I'm not too smart on Power Supplies and things alike. I appreciate the help. I plan on upgrading to the Nvidia Geforce GTX 980 4GB, so if it can support the 980Ti then I think I'm alright.

Yep, perfectly fine. GTX 980 will draw under worst conditions maybe 280W of power. CPU and rest of system would be peak draw of about 400W.
