building a new computer

im upgrading froma dell precision 690 because ita mobo doesnt support uefi, therefore cant play most games that are on the market. my budget is low 300 total. im wondering what mobo should i get i will be doing hardcore gaming. such as bfh,bf4,evolve, witcher, etc
any help would be appreciated as im kinda new to all this.

to be honest ive never tried amd im more of a intel type guy. but id rather do something with a crossover. always had that fear i wouldnt like amd xD
