Building a new gaming pc

they both have downfalls. in general here are issues i see.

1) ram needs to be purchased in kits. ddr3 is run in dual channel and work best in pairs. a single stick will give you less performance. buying separate sticks is a no-no. they may not work even if they are the same make/model.

2) in one build evga 600b is not a quality psu i would pick for a gaming build, however the s12ii is a good pick in the other build.

3) 5400rpm is not sufficient to hold an operating system in a gaming machine. you want 7200rpm sataIII 32mb-64mb cache.
