Hello everyone,

I've decided to build a new PC for 2019 and forward. Cant decide on the few factors though. Such as the GPU and if I should stood with 1080p 144 Hz or going for 1440p. Here are the components so far:

Case: Fractal Design Define C TG
PSU: Seasonic Focus Plus 750 Gold
Motherboard: GIGABYTE Z390 GAMING X
CPU: Intel Core i5-9600K
CPU Cooler: NOCTUA NH-L9x65
HDD: WD Blue 3D NAND SSD 1TB M.2 + WD Blue 3D NAND SSD 250GB 2.5"
RAM: G.SKILL 16GB KIT DDR4 3200MHz CL14 Trident Z (2x 8 GB for Dual Channel Support)
GPU: ? - Was thinking about these GTX 1080, RTX 2070, RTX 2080 any other ideas?

Price range is around 2000 EUR the less the better, but I want the PC to last a long time before building a new one.

Do you think this is a good setup? Would you change something?

Thank you for your advice.

Graca? I think you mean graphics card or gpu there.
My preffered resolution is 1440p for monitors that are 24inch or larger anything smaller and 1080p is fine.
144hz is nice but not many people notice a difference between 75hz and 144hz monitors so you have plenty of options to go from.
Depending on the games you play I can recommend you the gpu but as these are not listed I cannot help you further atm so please provide these.

Also I'm a bit confused as to with your storage choice? For gaming there is simply no difference (or an minisclue amount that is not noticeable at all) between a faster m.2 drive and a regular old sata ssd so if you want more storage for the same price just get a sata ssd.

Also if you can get a 8700k for the price of the 9600k which you sometimes can get that. It's the better option out of the 2.

I have chosen M.2 because I wanted to try it out and am able to get it for around 130 EUR so not that expensive for 1 TB of storage. Regarding the games I play currently Diablo 3, Witcher 3, The Division, but I would like the PC to be able to handle future games on very high settings.

What are the prices for these?
The gtx 1080 and rtx 2070 are about the same class. Just ray tracing and dlsr slapped onto the rtx 2070 which are features that are barely used atm so depending on the price premium for the rtx it might not be worth it.
The rtx 2080 is obviously the best but might not be worth the pricehike.

All cards will do very high 1440p and should reach 100fps+.
