Building a New PC - Need Advice Budget - $3000

Hey there,

So I need a PC for running CAD software such as Catia and so. I do not need the system to do 3D rendering. It may also be used for gaming.

I will need an OS and peripherals such as mouse, keyboard and monitor.

I would like to keep it under $2500 - $3000. I do not mind the insanely stupid RAM and GPU prices.

That is my first option. But I am looking at different options. Something along the lines of i7's and GTX's, not Xeons and Quadros.

scratch that. CAD and 3D rendering wont see much difference anyways between quad vs dual. yah just stick with the 8700k (just bumping this thread up)
