Question Building a new system and torn on cards

I will be looking to play BG3 and other RPGs as my primary games. Other games will be sims like Mechwarrior, sports games, First person (Star Wars type games/some shooters). My other uses will include 3d printer slicing software (Cura, Lychee), some CAD work, surfing, productivity work (Office, Acrobat, Photoshop), streaming, etc . Currently using 2 24”1080 monitors, but will likely upgrade within the year to bigger screens at 1440.

I am torn on the best option for my situation - 4070 ti Super, 4070 Super, 7900 xtx, or 7900 xt. Plan on pairing with a 7800X3D cpu.

You should mention all of your titles and apps without an etc in there, since not all apps/games will be optimized for one card alone. Some titles will favor Nvidia cards while others will favor AMD cards. If the majority of your apps favor Nvidia, then go Nvidia. If the majority of your apps/titles favor AMD, then go AMD.

I'm not sure, that is why the etc. My current computer is 13 years old and I have not been able to play most modern games. My newest game at this point is Pathfinder- wrath of the rightous. As stated, BG3 is next on my list. Others under consideration: Elden Rings, Star Wars Jedi Survivor, Mechwarrior 5, madden, cyberpunk 2077, and upcoming games like Vampire the Masquerade -bloodlines 2, Elder Scrolls VI, Star Wars Outlaws, Knights of the Old Republic remake, Mechwarior 5 Clans.
