Looking to upgrade my current pc. I am currently running an Intel Zenon E5-1607 v4 with 16GB of RAM. It's a decent machine but is almost 5 years old. Time to treat myself to something new.

I have been doing some research and came up with the following:

PCPartPicker Part List: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/8Vr4vf

CPU: Intel Core i9-10920X 3.5 GHz 12-Core Processor
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master MasterAir Maker 8 66 CFM CPU Cooler
Motherboard: Asus WS X299 SAGE SSI CEB LGA2066 Motherboard
Memory: G.Skill Aegis 64 GB (4 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory
Storage: *Intel 600p Series 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 10 GB Founders Edition Video Card
Case: Fractal Design Define 7 XL Light ATX Full Tower Case
Power Supply: SeaSonic PRIME Ultra Titanium 850 W 80+ Titanium Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
Optical Drive: Pioneer BDR-2209 Blu-Ray/DVD/CD Writer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 Pro OEM 64-bit

Approximate Purchase Date: I would like to get going on this now. I am not without a PC so I don't have to rush.

Budget Range: I would "like" to keep it around $4,000 or less. I don't want to pay for things that are over the top for what I plan on using them for.

System Usage from Most to Least Important: I use my PC for work and play. I play a lot of Eve Online. I also do some video editing (not professionally) and use Cyberlink. I also do some CAD work.

Are you buying a monitor: No, don't plan on it. I use a double monitor set-up now that works fine.

Do you need to buy OS: Yes Windows Pro 64 Bit. I will need a new license.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: New Egg or Amazon. I don't have an issue using any other sites.

Location: I am planning to build this in Dartmouth, Massachusetts, USA, Earth, Sol System, Milky Way Galaxy

Parts Preferences: I prefer Intel, Asus, NVidia. I am not tied to any of those.

Overclocking: No

SLI or Crossfire:
Maybe. I assume SLI due to NVidia

Your Monitor Resolution: 1680 x 1050 (2 Monitors)

Additional Comments: I have build 3 or 4 machines in the past. I prefer doing this than buying a complete system.

And Most Importantly, Why Are You Upgrading: I think it's due and I deserve to treat myself to a new machine. My current PC runs slow when Eve Online is running and I am doing some work on the other monitor (Yes, I can do both).

Thank you for any advise or opinions. Sorry if I messed something up by posting incorrect or or not posting enough information.

This is the system you linked and this does not include the GPU price in your list.

The parts you chose are very overpriced and it wasn't ok. The system below is better and cost almost 2000 dollars less than what you built in pcpartpicker. Just get an external bluray burner at 90 dollars on amazon instead of using an internal one. The one below would be around 3500 if you add the RTX 3080 to the price. Might want to get a nice 1440p monitor at 144+ Hz.

Solution
"Time to treat myself to something new. "
Now if that isnt a proper attitude idk what is xD
I agree with @Nemesia , parts in this build are way overpriced.
Now, i dont think your usage requires a 12c/24t monster, does it?
Something like this would be much cheaper with same performance (if not better) performance in gaming.
Also, we have a elephant in the room here, A 3080 FOR 1680X1050????!?!?!?!?!?!?
sry, go to excited xD
You are seriously overspending on your graphics card here.
If you need something with tons of Vram, a RTX 3060 would make much more sense imo.
Not to mention, again, cheaper.

Edit:
I removed the Seasonic 650$ tank and forgot to add a different 5x cheaper psu that will do just fine....
I'd go for either this or this.
750W is overkill for this system, but you might upgrade your GPU in the future so just to be safe.

So this. I think this is a nice system. Cut the price on that AIO and got the best air cooler instead. Changed the RAM for 3600MHz CL16 2 sticks. It should stick at that frequency with 2 sticks with no issues. 2 970 EVO. Why not. Could have been a Evo Plus or a 980 pro for the boot drive but we all know it won't give you more than a 1 second faster loading speed. The 3060 is a nice choice for your need especially with those monitors. 750 watts is enough. A 650 would be enough but here it's the same price so took the 750.

Crazy how the GPU game has changed..
A 350$ (msrp) GPU has more Vram for workloads that a 700$ one.

Thank you all so much for your input. That was a huge help.

What are your thoughts on Monitors? If I can upgrade what I have, I might as well.
A 3060 can drive 1440p high settings in all games.
I'd upgrade your main monitor to a 1440p 144Hz, you can leave the second one as it is.
