Hey guys,

So I recently watched Linus' video where he built all his pc components to a desk (here: http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/451359-desk-pc-build-log/).

I was wondering if I would be able to do it with my parts? And also, how would I create a on/off switch?

Specs:

Nvidia GeForce 960

MSI 970 Gaming AMD AM3 GBE LAN ATX Motherboard

AMD FX-9370 Black Edition Octa Core CPU

Corsair Hydro Series H110i GT Cooler

Corsair CP-9020074-UK Professional Platinum Series Power Supply Unit

Samsung 120gb SSD

16GB Ram

1TB Western Digital HDD

Sure, just remember to be thorough with the planning an measurements. (Remember to install it the right way 😀 )

You can get independent switches that connect to the motherboard at most hardware stores.

You can do it with any components, you just need a desk big enough to fit them all. When buying a power switch make sure it's designed for soft on/off because a hard switch (the type that literally cuts the power) won't work.

And when building, the best rule is to use wood to fix your problems. When in doubt, use wood. Wood is really easy to work with.

Do you know of any websites that sell such switches?

eBay. Probably Amazon as well.

Just looked. Can't seem to find the right one in the UK?

It literally took me 30 seconds to find this.

Oh, so I was looking at the right thing 😀 I guess I was just looking for something more aesthetically pleasing 😛

You can probably find that as well. But it might take more than 30 seconds 😀
