Hi,
I am going to build a PC this year. Here are the specs im hoping to get:
gpu: Gigabyte GTX 970 4GB
cpu: i5 4690
motherboard: ASRock H87M pro4
ram: G.skill ares 2x 4GB
HDD: seagate barracuda 1tb
psu: thermatake Berlin

this comes out at around £672 which is just inside my budget. I am here to ask whether the components are compatible and there are no limiting parts. Is this a good PC to run most games at 60fps on high/max settings on a 1080p monitor?

My advice, go on PC Part Picker, set up an account, put your components in the build system and it checks for you if its compatible! FANTASTIC

Its what I used to build my rig and is great for looking at other peoples builds and seeing what else you would need.

Just by looking at your build, you need to be more specific on your RAM next time you ask questions like these i.e. is it DDR4 or DDR3...etc... But it looks good.

I would add an SSD too. An SSD is basically a super fast HDD and you should use this to store all your games on so that they load faster and are better! Depending on the games you play, a GTX 970 is more than capable of achieving 60fps I think.

If you need any help just respond back here, but definitely check out PC Part Picker (a dream website for PC builders).

Good luck!
