So I'm building my first pc so I'm really overwhelmed about what I should and should not buy. The thing is that I have a good budget but I just dont wanna spend too much today and see the parts price dramatically drop tomorrow or maybe another gen coming in.
So my dad told me to build a pc with upgrading capability. My budget is close to a 1000$ or maybe 900$.
So as I said.. upgrading capability. I wanna be able to swap out the old parts for newer and better ones. Im thinking of going with a 8th gen motherboard and a 8th gen i5-8400. I'm going with a Amd Radeon RX570 4GB or a 6GB. And at least 8gb ddr4 2400mhz ram.
So my question is.. will I be able to swap out the parts for newer ram and gpu and will they be compatible say.. 3-4 years from now?
And also I would like suggestions about what I should get for my pc too(Budget: 900-1050$)

Solution

Due to your monitor's resolution, my advice would be to invest less into your graphics card and more into your other internal components. This way you can purchase a monitor grahics card upgrade in the future. This is primarly because if you go too expensive with your graphics card, both money as well as performance will be left on the table.

Well no I'm not opposed with going with AMD Im actually really confused with which I should get . But my monitor is 1366x768 @60Hz.

Can you suggest which cpu I should get and which motherboard I should get?
