Question building an AMD 64core , 1TB or 2TB ram computer-motherboard and ram options?

Hey!

Been looking into newer Epyc or thredripper CPUs, to build with ! 1TB or 2 TB of RAM.

Does anyone have suggestion on what is a better budget option, I am not well versed in server motherboards with ton of RAM slots and mutliples CPU slots and haven't seen them for 5995WX or 5975WX could work as well, 3990X, Epyc 7763 etc. (MAybe Epyc SP3 motherboards have some more options? sWRX8, or sTRX4 sockets I haven't really found more than 8 slots.

256GB RAM sticks are quite expensive, but saw that maybe smaller capacity RAMS could be cheaper if I could get suitable motherboard.

Just saw NEMIX ram sticks, I am sure Hynix should be doing price seems to be about 10k usd per 1TB?

Any concrete suggestions about components that would get close to this kind of performance, with better bang for the buck? or maybe a company building these in Europe?

IF Intel has alternative that would also work, doesn't really matter

though they will come at a pretty penny. You could look at sellers on Ebay but they'll be used or damaged units.

May be priced high but You're not going to find a "cheap" computer with the specs you want.

Yeah for the price I hope to find it more around 10k to 15k, rather than 30k

You can look at used Dell Workstations.

Just have to swap out the CPUs for 28 core ones, and you could swap out the memory for 2TB. (Though you will probably be back in that 30K territory again)

You can also get them new from Dell, Lenovo, and HP. Best to do a little shopping around.
