Building computer problems (power not turning on)

I have just finished putting together the motherboard, cpu (and fan), graphics card, RAM and power supply together (followed pt2 of NewEggs building guide on youtube). I can see that power is being fed into the motherboard because the green standby light is on, however when I short the 2 power pins, the computer does not turn on (no fans running or signal into the monitor). Help will be appreciated.

I just checked all of these and it will still not work, what should I do? Take it apart and put it back together?

Everything is fully seated and secure? It might help to just go through everything again, and just make extra sure to fit everything in correctly and snug

Hmm. Have you tried the paperclip test? Leave the HDD and fans plugged into the PSU, and do the paperclip test to see if the PSU is even turning on.
