So I am currently looking into building my first Gaming/Streaming PC setup and have ran into a few questions that I haven’t been able to find answer too. My setup so far looks something like this.

CPU: Ryzen 7 1700x
GPU: GTX 1080
Motherboard: ASRock x370 Taichi
RAM: 2x8 GB 3200 G Skill Ripjaws
Storage: Seagate 3TB 7200 RPM HDD
CPU Fan: H100i
PSU: EVGA 650 BQ 650W
Case:?
Cooling:?
Soundcard:?
Optical Drive:?
OS: Preferably Windows 10 not sure though

So far those are all of the parts that I’ve read reviews on and decided to pick those specifically. I am curious as to the thought if there’s anything I’m missing that’s important. Such as general cooling system inside the case, the case itself, or any parts in general. Not too sure what I need for a case. I’m somewhat on budget being cheaper than $120 for a case. Is there anything else I’m missing that I have not listed here that I need?

Any comments, questions, or thoughts will help greatly as I am new to the PC scene and I’m looking to build my own high quality PC. If you review what I have so far and tell me how it will preform or if I’m missing something crucial, I will greatly appreciate your help.

Comments:
1. If only gaming/streaming, Ryzen 1600 is good enough, you do not need that extra 2 cores.

2. 1600 comes with decent cooler and can OC to ~3.8, no need to pay extra for X version and extra cooler.

3. Ssd is recommended for fast booting and game loading

4. Good B350 motherboard will be enough unless you considering SLI.

5. BQ is not good enough PSU

6. Modern Motherboard has integrated sound card already

7. Win10 is good to have now due to win7 losing support in 2020.

What is your total budget? Living in US? Will help you pull a list for a better build :)

In terms of pricing I’m thinking somewhere between
$1300-1700 on my budget. Living in the US, Texas. How do I know if all of this is compatible? What kind of case do you think I should have. So far if I keep all these same parts it’s going to come to about $1500 with what I have so far. If I do make some of the changes prices will vary and if you think it’s a better idea maybe a decrease in price. I’m just not too sure on how to exactly be sure if all of these components will fit into a certain case and how they will connect.

Yes I currently have a 4K monitor 28 inches I think it is. Would this setup be capable of being in a mid tower or would I have to go for a pricier full tower?
