I've been convinced by a friend to invest in a 144hz monitor and an RTX 2070 instead of a GTX 1070. I'm probably going to replace one of my quad monitors with the 144hz new monitor for gaming, while keeping the others for work.
Here are the specs for my two options:

and w/ the 144hz monitor

Generally just wanted decent FPS rates and this is the system I worked up with some aid from another forum and my friend. Any help is greatly appreciated and lmk if anything seems off or if there are better options!

Solution
1070Ti and an RTX2070 are fairly close to each other in performance. The 1070Ti can be overclocked to nearly match, but the RTX2070 can be overclocked further as well.

Either would do the job of 1920x1080 @ 144hz in most titles. Only real difference is RTX itself. A very neat feature, but you likely won't be hitting 144hz if you turn it on. Only a few games that support it as well.

On some games you will have to turn the video quality of some games down with the 1070 Ti or 2070. Some games are very demanding, however, 144Hz is worth the trade in lower video quality in some games. Usually things like fog or other things you do not need can be turned off with some other settings turned down a little, if needed.

A 120 or 144Hz monitor is superior to a 60Hz monitor, especially in fast paced games like shooters.
