Hey all,

I'm new to the site and hoping to get some answers here :), I have decided to build my 1st gaming pc but I am racking my brain trying to figure out a rig build. I am a keen MMO and FPS player. I am looking to probably buy bit by bit as I won't be able to afford the purchase all at once. So I am wondering if anyone could please list the parts I would need to make a pretty good but affordable rig. would appreciate any help possible as I am new to it all! :) Tia!

Solution
Don't purchase bit by bit. If you do, you'll have no way of knowing if any of the parts you purchase at first are defective. By the time you do, you are well past the RMA stage and have to deal directly with the manufacturers (a much more lengthy prospect).

As for build ideas, please read through this sticky: *How to Ask for New Build or Upgrade Advice*

Do you have any parts that can be reused from an older PC? What is your budget? How much will you have to spend on the initial purchase? I ask this so we can tell you what order to purchase the items. For example, you may be able to use on board graphics while you wait to get the money for a dedicated video card. Or another example could be only getting 4/8gb of ram for now and another 4/8gb later. Understand?
