Building my first gaming PC

Hi guys. I've been looking through parts to build my first gaming pc. These are the parts I have picked out so far:

GPU: EVGA GEFORCE GTX 1070 8GB Founders edition

CPU: i5 4690k

Memory: 2×8 gb DDR3 1866 memory

Storage: Seagate barracuda 2tb 3.5" 7200RPM

CPU cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM.
I'm really new to PC building and could use some help. I need to find a motherboard that can handle these components. Also i need to know if these components are compatible with eachother. I just want to game on this build. I have a full atx tower case too. Can anybody help me out? Thanks!

Is there a particular reason you want the 4690K and not a newer-gen CPU?

If you're going with a Devil's Canyon build I was a huge fan of the MSI Z97 Gaming 5 motherboard. However, if you are not going to overclock there is no sense in getting the 4690K.

Another suggestion I have is to go with an SSD for your Operating System and a few games.

Also, what's your overall budget? This would be easier if I had a min/max that you're willing to spend.

My budget in total is about 1900 US. If you have any ideas about a better gaming cpu, I'm open to it. Also I live in the USA

u say u got a full atx tower. which one? and u also require a monitor, keybord/mouse ?

I've got a monitor, keyboard and mouse picked out already. Just need some help with cpu, mobo etc
