Hey guys, I am new to this website, But i have been reading and it looks like you guys help out a lot!
Ive been wanting to build a new PC for pure gaming and a little work on the side no biggie. I have a laptop and its just not working out for me. I need a PC!
I have been looking at MSY for parts but to be honest i have no idea what im doing. Could you guys help me with what to buy and explain the parts to me?

I have a budget of around $1000 but if i can spend less i would be happy. I have no Monitor but have keyboard and mouse, headphones etc.

Thank you for your time

Hi there! I'm guessing your from Australia since your buying from MSY. May i suggest www.PcCaseGear.com ? Their site is so easy to navigate and they have a better range of parts.

What size monitor are you planning on getting? I would suggest a 23 inch.

I will write down a build for you later when i wake up.

Overclocking is the process of running your CPU (or other components) at a higher clock speed than comes standard by the manufacturer. Used to be tough, now it's a pretty painless process thanks to manufacturers making it easy and a shload of guides on the web.

The reason folks want to know whether or not you plan to overclock is because that choice will impact your overall build. Overclocking generates more heat, and that heat must be effectively channeled by better heat sinks, case design, etc.

Grats on choosing to build your first PC. As long as you keep yourself well informed it's a fun and generally painless process that rewards the user in the long run with. Have fun with it!

Hehehe, no it won't work. JOKES! Yeah sure, its just a bit more expensive. I'm currently in the making of building my dream PC, im just waiting for the new AMD bulldozer proccesors and graphics cards to come out. Im speding about $3000 on my build, but it will last me forever and i need everything like the headset, mouse, keyboard and monitor.

P.S. if you can i would wait for AMD's Bulldozer to come out because it is likley to drop other CPU prices and you might even get a better CPU for the same price range.

Good luck and feel free to ask any questions.
