I am building my computer on PCPARTPICKER, I live in Australia so things get pricy over here. I originally wanted a gaming PC for no more then $900 that could play fallout 4, GTA 5 and other recent games, but found myself at a $1400 computer. What should I get rid off or downgrade, keep in mind I want to be able to play fallout 4, GTA and other recent games.

I was thinking of switching the Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor for the Intel Core i3-4160 3.6GHz Dual-Core Processor since its like $200+ dollars cheaper, what do you think?

Here is the link to my part list http://au.pcpartpicker.com/p/RxJRrH

Thanks a heap

P.S I am not very smart when it comes to computers

Yeah, and stay realistic.
Most common trap with PC building is, you can always spend a bit more and get something slightly better.
Have a goal: Gaming.
To achieve that goal, have priority over parts. Priority in this case is as follows;
1.GPU.
2.Everything else 😛

Most of your budget should be the GPU. Get the best your budget can allow (up to a certain point, you get diminishing returns over £300)
After GPU, a handful of things will give you NOTICEABLE performance increase, those being; minimum of 8gb RAM, SSD over HD, any i5.

Everything else is tweaking, getting the best bang for your buck, but fps increases will be minimal, because for example, games are typically not CPU intensive. Only games like total war where you have LOOOOOADS of units, will smash up the calculations needed by the CPU, otherwise, you've got enough CPU power, and everything else is wasted.

ENjoy!

Best I can do sub 900 in Outback Country.

People bashing the i3 have never used them, they're very capable, and unless the game is coded like complete garbage, they will run them at 95% of an i5/i7 (which run them virtually the same)

You won't regret having an i3 system, it plays all the games you want, just at reduced settings. The 270 can play pretty much all the games you want at 1080p, just not really at high settings.
