I am planning on building a gaming PC to play Battlefield 4 and I would like to play at 1080p 60+ fps all ULTRA. Which build do you reccomend? My options are

- FX 8350 with R9 280x Toxic OC edition - Cheapest

- FX 8350 With r9 290x

- Intel i7 4770k with R9 290x - Expensive

Would the FX 8350 bottleneck the R9 290x? and what fps would i expect from the FX8350 280x build with all settings on ultra?

Does the CPU make a big difference between the i7 4770k and FX 8350?

Our recommendation is based on your maximum budget that you can spend. Of course, you should buy the powerful system but it'll cost lots of bucks :).

FX 8350 with R9 280x Toxic OC edition - (Cheapest)

Core i5 4670k is about 4-5% faster in terms of multitasking and rendering over FX 8350 also i5 4670k has more overclocking headroom. but it's not really easy to compete with Intel when it comes to multitasking and rendering because Intel charges bucks for that and it's their speciality so i would say FX8350 isn't a bad choice either. R9 280x toxic edition is damn good card it's 15% cut down of r9 290 but it'll allow you maxout any game.

- FX 8350 With r9 290x

i would say Why not going for 4670k as it's faster and way...
fx 8350 wont bottleneck your gpu, it achieves 60 fps at most cpu intensive parts of the game http://gamegpu.ru/images/remote/http--www.gamegpu.ru-images-stories-Test_GPU-Action-Battlefield_4_Beta-test-bf_4_proz.jpg . However, if you play any current gen games, the i7 will surely perform better, only next gen games are starting to make use of more than 4 cores. The i7-4770k will also have decent performance, nearly as well as 8350 and maybe better than it when OCed but its more expensive and it really comes to gpu when you will have fps drops, so concentrating on gpu is the most important thing. ONLY if you will get a decent cpu anyway. r9 280x is a 7970 ghz edition equivalent, so expect 53 fps if you are gaming at 1080p and everything maxed out with 4xmsaa

i would say Why not going for 4670k as it's faster and way cheaper than 4770k but you'll get a performance boost along with R9 290X as it's a beast card to play games. Though there won't be any bottle necking situation with FX 8350 but if you're going with a powerful card like r9 290x you should get an Intel processor

.- Intel i7 4770k with R9 290x - Expensive

i7 4770k is way faster and powerful processor than FX 8350 i try to summarize in points

FX 8350 Advantages over 4770k:

(1) Based on current official prices, the processor is 40% less expensive than the i74770K.
(2) The AMD FX-8350 has 40% better price/performance ratio.

Intel Core i7-4770K advantages:

(1) In single-threaded tasks, the Intel i7-4770K CPU is 50-60% faster.
(2) Multi-threaded performance of the Intel i7-4770K is better.
(3) The Intel Core i7-4770K processor performs 15-20% faster in memory-intensive applications.
(4) Graphics performance of the CPU is higher.
(5) The processor supports AVX2 instructions, that appeared in modern processors not too far ago. Although these extensions are not extensively used by programs yet, this should improve in future apps.
(6) In addition to 4 CPU cores, the microprocessor has integrated HD 4600 GPU. This graphics unit replaces low-end graphics card, and thus lowers the cost of the system.
(7) Power consumption of the i7-4770K is lower.

All in all intel 4770k is a beast. but if you combine an i5 4670K with r9 280x or 290x the you'll get best performance/price ratio.
