Building new [Gaming Rig]. i5-3570k or wait for the new Haswells?

Whats worth it? I know the 3570k is a good processor for gaming at a decent price. Do you guys think i should go with the 3570k? or wait for the new equivalent to come out?

Haswell should be out soon, and the 10 percent or so upgrade over ivy brudge is good enough to wait a little bit on. If you can wait, do so.

depends on the price...

generally speaking IB was a bit disappointing from an overclocking standpoint largely due to heat issues. Frankly a pretty compelling argument could be made for getting an i5-2500k over the i5-3570k. Assuming Haswell doesn't suffer those issues, then waiting for the haswell should be worth it.

Can anyone tell me which New Haswell processor is going to be the best bang for the buck? In other words, the 3570K equivalent? Or which one would you guys recommend and why?

For gaming the equivalent to the 3570k for sure, if you are overclocking. If not, the the step down from the 3570k equivalent without the unlocked feature. If you are video editing for something, then the 4770k would be.

What is the new 3570k equivalent? and I read somewhere that the new processors will require a new motherboard type. Is this true?

yes haswell will need a new socket lga 1150
and the i5-3570k equivalent would be a i5-4670k

Why does Intel always change there socket types? This is one of the main reasons I stick with AMD; I know I can get in a few cpu upgrades w/o worrying my mobo needs to be changed.
