yes that would work. whats you budget ? are you only buying from newegg or could parts be from somewhere else too . btw you dont need i7 if you will use your PC just for gaming

Guys he can get a LGA-2011 socket. So he can intermix if your gonna go with Xeon. One thing i watch for when buying a motherboard is to make sure i have a wide range of processors to choose from
