Looking to build a new PC. Budget is around $1000. Here are some of the main components I've already put together. I've already got a decent mouse/keyboard, monitor and SSD already. I've been doing some digging around trying to put a mid range build together. Not an expert with this stuff so I'm looking for any opinions. I think I may be overkill on the psu and I'm debating if I should upgrade to the 2600x over the 2600. Thoughts?

Looks like a great build overall. I could forsure wait a few days for the cpu.
I do have a few issue/questions about this build although. I've been told never to go with micro boards, a few people I know have had them break constantly and it has turned me away from them.
I was also hoping for a little bit of flash which is why I went with the Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro and I think I would continue to go with them. Any other board recommendations that would fit well with the build?

Micro boards are just a smaller form factor of regular ATX boards. There is nothing wrong with them. Whoever said that is absolute nonsense. But you can always go with a bigger board for better part spacing and air flow. The board you picked in your original post is pretty good, so you can go with that.
Another board you can go for is the MSI B450 Gaming Pro Carbon. Similar price range, but with some better features and power phases... https://nl.hardware.info/vergelijkingstabel/producten/468007-457481

Ya I think I would prefer a bigger board. Also just to be clear, even with the RGB ram and the MSI B450 and maybe a few led light strips around the case, I would still be fine with a 450W psu? I plan on putting minimum 3 additional fans in for a case I already had in mind (2 in the front and 1 in the back). Not quite sure how the math works on this but a few sites that calculate it automatically said I would need a 500W+ psu.

If you look at the top right corner of the PCPP build, the estimated wattage from the wall is around 400w highlighted in blue.. A quality 450w would do, but if you wanna keep a little headroom, you can go with a 550w unit...

-----------------------------------------------

The math works like this...

Lets look at wattage requirements
CPU___________________150Watts Max
Video__________________ 100Watts typical
MB Fans x 2______________30Watts typical
4gRam x 4_______________ 20Watts typical
MB power consumption_____10Watts typical
Cooler_______________10Watts typical
===================================
Subtotal 320Watts
Add 2 Disks 20watts ea 40Watts
###################################
System Ttl Wattage (ESTIM) 360 Watts

Your wattage requirements would be about 360Watts when running a game at 100% cpu.

Choose your power supply that has the most efficiency at at 360Watts.
A 600Watt PS could be operating at the 80% efficiency, at 360 Watts, whereas a 500Watt PS could be at the to 95% 90% efficiency.
Therefore 360Watts/.80 = 450Watts total demand if using a 80% efficient PS
360Wats/.95 = 380Watts total if you are using a 95% efficient PS
An efficient 475-500Watt PS with 90+% efficiency when delivering 360Watts would do.

-----------------------------------------------

In fact, now that I think of it, you should go for a little bigger unit. You are going to need the headroom, specially if you plan to OC.

RTX2060 will improve the overall gaming performance greatly over RX590 and be more effective in comparison to switching R5 2600 to 2600X.
All are high quality components.
Best performance for your budget.

Thanks for all the input. I have one last question before making final decision.
I was doing some research on the differences between 2600 and 2600x. From the looks of it .. if I have NO intentions of overclocking I should go with the 2600x? But if I DO want to overclock then the 2600 is better option? Correct me if I'm wrong 😛

E/ I will probably not be overclocking. At this point it's probably safe to do ... but if I can get 60fps on most games without overclocking .. I probably won't risk it.

Decided to go with the Corsair Vengeance 16GB RGB Pro and a MSI radeon GPU but this was defiantly the best build for my budget. All in all I'll be paying $1100. Couldn't ask for much better.

Just wanted to say a quick thanks to everyone that pitched in with some ideas. Love this site and the community as well. Much thanks 😀
