Can you spend 300 or 3000?

Any allegiance to either AMD or Intel?

Where else might you buy from other than Amazon?

That case is limited to 160 mm tall coolers, which gives you quite a bit of leeway.

I assume you will need to buy RAM?

Im not wanting to spend more than around 500 for the cpu itself as I'm not needing tooo big of an upgrade and everything else maybe no more than 100.
I prefer amd but am not locked in.
I'll buy from anywhere I can prove is legit.
And yes the ram I have in my current rig I think is failing so new ram.

So, you need:

Motherboard
CPU
RAM
Cooler

And nothing else. Is that correct? For about 600 total?

I'm thinking maybe 50 or 60 cooler; 50 to 100 RAM; 250 to 300 CPU; remainder motherboard. Something like that.

Are you going to get on the DDR 5 train?

Correction?

Guess you intend to keep that AMD motherboard? Might be OK in your case.

I don't know much about AMD and don't know how much you can upgrade the CPU using that motherboard.
I do plan on keep the motherboard even if that means only a small upgrade cpu wise

A good cooler and 32 GB of DDR 4 RAM will likely be anywhere from 100 to 150, depending on your anxiety about heat and your ultimate CPU choice.

Leaving you up to 450 for a CPU upgrade? I don't know if any compatible AMD CPU would cost 450.

I have no idea how much of an upgrade you can put on that AMD board.

You might get away with much less than 600 total if the compatible AMD CPUs aren't highly expensive.

I'm assuming that board demands DDR 4 and you demand keeping that board.
