Hey, in short way: Iam planning on buying a pc components that will be able to keep up with next gen games with full performance, for at least 3 years. Here are the details and components i have so far:
Approximate Purchase Date: August 2013
Budget Range: 1100euro ( without monitor ) - 1300 ( with monitor maybe )
System Usage from Most to Least Important: GAMING
Are you buying a monitor: Probably not, but if i was which i MIGHT be doing so, it would be " 27" BenQ GW2750HE " for 175 Euro
Motherboard: ASUS Z87-A --- OR ---- I might actually go for MSI Z87-GD65 GAMING ; seems alot better and has the OC genie. But adds 44 euro to the cost
CPU: Intel Core i7-4770K ( i would like to overclock it also but cant say i have any experience with doing that, so i might just keep with turbo boost. )
CPU cooling: ARCTIC Freezer Xtreme Rev.2 ( Should fit properly, also should be just enough for cooling )
GPU: here i have certain dilemma
ASUS GTX770-DC2OC-2GD5
or
ASUS HD7970-DC2T-3GD5
(GTX 770 seems better from benchmarks, yet iam not completely sure)
RAM: Corsair 16GB KIT DDR3 1600MHz CL9 Black Vengeance ( probably those ones ? Iam not sure about RAM with all those vengeance editions and what are the differences and so, but simple idea: 16gb, DD3, fitting the motherboard )
- This is what i plan on buying, because i already have a case that should be big enough, 3HDDs (1TB, 0.5TB, 2TB) and 800W Corsair power supply
I also already have 2 monitors, one smaller LG and one "27 samsung, so if i was to buy a monitor it would be a replacement for the smaller LG.
Some additional info that ?might? help.
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Alza.sk but since its in slovak it might be no use, but would be good if the components to buy were on that site.
Location: Kosice, Slovakia.
Parts Preferences: Probably Intel, i see them as a trustworthy brand and ive had some problems with AMD before, especially CPUs. I especially dont trust their 8core CPU for 188euro to be any good, or even better than quadcore i5..
As for graphics card, well nvidia seems nice for gaming but if you know about something better iam open minded there
- and as for, "other" brands, i believe Asus is good. And for monitors i trust BenQ
Overclocking: Maybe, if ill learn how to do it properly..
SLI or Crossfire: Maybe. Depends, if there will be a better performance with 2 graphics cards or not of course , for the approximately same price. Also having 2 graphics card would allow me to have more than 2 monitors wouldn't it ?
Important thing i forgot about !!
SSD DISK - I've never had the experience with it, never used one. Heard its awesome and i might be willing to pay additional cost for it, but honestly iam not completely sure whats it good for and even how is it supossed to be used So help me there a bit.
Please let me know what do you think about this and if you know about some better replacement for some components, keeping it with at most 1100 euro price.
Thx
