Hello,

Looking to make a PC with a $500 budget. My old one completely fried, so I am using what money I have left to make one that will do. I have no parts starting, so I wanted to see what the community can come up with.

Thanks!

Solution
I can improve quite a bit on the above build. :)
Get this, features better performance (You'll need a HDD @ryguybuddy), and comes in cheaper.

Here is a good build for your needs. If you can stretch the budget by $50 or so, I suggest picking up a i5-6500 combo with the RX 460 I chose. Otherwise good luck!

Solution

If he went for an i3, he'd have enough money to go for a cheap GPU and 8 GB of memory. It'd be better for him to get a well rounded PC now than a processor and nothing else. Upgrading to an i5 or i7 would be a simple process once he gets the money. Just look at the builds others have posted on here.

This is a decent build for 500. The rx 470 gives alot more options for 20 over budget. Take a look at its benchmarks online.
