Hi!
I'm going to build a new computer in the near future. I do alot of 3D-modeling/rendering and also some gaming.
My old computer is garbage and I cant improve with it (E5300 + 4gig of ram + 6900GT with crappy board).
So my goal with the new PC is to be able to use softwares for modelling, texturing, rendering, video editing, compositing, run simulations, etc.
(Sofwares like Zbrush, Houdini Apprentice, etc.)
And on the other hand im a mechanical engineering student and I want to use engineering softwares for static calculations/simulations and modelling for my studies and for my future job.
So i want to build a work/3d hobbyist/gamer pc.
Since Im a student, I cant afford to buy the whole PC, so i decided to buy the components in 2 portion.
These are the componenets that i think will suit my plan, but im not certain that this is the best setup. So i hope some of you can help me out to build a new PC.
First portion:
Cpu:
INTEL Core i7-6800K 3.40GHz 2011-3 BOX
CPU Cooler:
Alpenföhn Brocken 2
Board:
GIGABYTE GA-X99-UD4
VGA:
GIGABYTE GV-N1070WF2OC-8GD GTX1070 8GB GDDR5 WINDFORCE OC PCIE
Case:
COOLERMASTER N400
or
THERMALTAKE VN400A1W2N Commander MS-I
or
COOLERMASTER HAF 912 Advanced
with 8GB ddr4 RAM ( Im not decided which brand i want to buy )
and a want to use my Thermaltake Berlin 630W for a short time.
2-3 month later a want to continue with the 2nd portion, where I changing the:
-ram up to 64GB (maybe 124GB)
-a better, gold rated power supply around 850W (maybe an FSP)
-and adding an SSD.
I want to stay in the Intel/Nvidia side. I hope You guys can help me out .
Feel free change the components in the same price level. Im open for every suggestion .
Thanks for Your help..
