Building PC Help (File transfer)

Okay. I am currently looking into building my first ever from scratch PC. I was wondering if I could somehow use my old HDD and OS. I am using windows 10. I would mostly want to keep the OS because a new copy is around 150. I bought the computer originally from llenovo. It is a IdeaCentre K430? I am wondering if the OS will be locked into that computer since it came from the line with it.

find your product key and make sure to write it down, you will probably need it later. just stick your old HDD and install it into your new PC as the main drive since that is where your operating system will be, then just go about installing whatever drivers you will need and you should be fine.
