Building PC Question: Liquid Cooler Installation Confusion

I'm installing a Kraken x61 that does not come with directions other than how to screw the fans on to the radiator.

The Kraken has:
a 4 pin connector
multiple connectors for the fans
a cable with a flat-ish connector labeled "SATA"

My mobo has a 3 pin CPU1 - I plugged in the 4 pin connector to it because the Youtube video I watched says it goes there. Not sure why a 4 pin goes on a 3 pin but whatever.

I plugged in the fans.

I ran a separate cable from the modular PSU to the designated CPU power pins on the mobo.

What is this SATA cable thingy and where do I stick it?

The cable goes into a L shaped connector (sata port on your motherboard)

The other end of that cable goes to your hard drive

The cable is part of the cooler itself. You're saying the end of it gets plugged into my SSD?

Oh, at first I thought it was the cable to the hard drive but its coming from the cooler? Sorry I do not know
